I just want it to be fixed to where the brakes won't try to kill me!
It's just been sitting in the street for the last 5 days, waiting to be fixed.
The battery is probably dead. It dies unusually fast for some reason.
Why is it that this is the only time we've ever had trouble with the thing?
Why did I spend $40 on gas the day before it decided it wanted me dead?
Oh the plus side, the truck is alive and well, with VERY cold A/C.

Sorry about the van. Like I told VincentVancabrio, I wrecked my car real bad today so I definitely know your pain.

Why is your truck alive in a well?

Ouch. Just how bad is it?

Sometimes my fingers move faster than my brain. Fixed!

That's one old school Astro! How many miles on that thing?

Only 144,000 actually. It looks like it's done over 200,000 though.
Still runs as good as the day it rolled off the assembly line though. It just doesn't stop as well.

I dig the Astro! Hopefully you can fix it up easily. P.s. I'd guess that the battery's draining quickly from a short somewhere. Unfortunately, if that's the case, it may be very hard to locate.

It's done it since we bought it. It came with this thing that's shuts the battery circuit off if it gets too low, called a battery buddy.
Pop the hood, press the button, and off you go. No jump start required.

Nice! I've never seen one of those before. Handy!

I thought this said something about being touched...in a van.
Glad to see it's not! I love those, we had one as a work van in college hauling textbooks. I was always amazed at how easy it would break loose the rear tires when unloaded.
Good luck with getting it going (and stopping).

It goes just fine (except the 1-2 upshift, rougher than it should be) it's just the stopping part that doesn't really... work.
